AMK Mig-31BM/BSM decal help

I am rebuilding the AMK Mig-31BM/BSM. One I like the subject, and I loved building it the first time, granted it took me several attempts, and the rebuild took several attempts as well. I'm confused on which side of the intakes these decals would go on. Would they be applied to the outer or inner wall of the intake? Image

From the text in the image I'd say they went on the inner surfaces of the intake on the side that butts up against the fuselage.
    Neil (yet another one...)
