The Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t) was a light tank manufactured by the Czechoslovakian company ČKD, which was developed before World War II for the Czechoslovakian army and for sale abroad. With the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the German Reich gained control of a powerful arms industry. Classified as a medium tank by the German Wehrmacht, existing models were taken over by the and additional vehicles were ordered from the manufacturer.
Overall, the 38(t) proved to be a reliable tank in the early years of the war, but with the attack on the Soviet Union in 1941, it was found to be inferior in terms of weaponry when confronted with modern and well-armored Soviet T-34 and KW tanks.

Really nice finish. Its good to see the early war grey scheme.

The tracks look superb with the detail and sag. Were they link and length?

I dont know if other people feel the same but when I see an early war panzer my mind automatically contrasts it with the huge monsters that were on the front line by the end of the war.

@ Stokesy44: Thank you The tracks were several plastic pieces (I was used to linked rubber tracks up to this point) but I was suprised how good they all fit together.

Regarding size contrast, you are right - I put this model besides others of mine: Hotchkiss, Panzer 38t, Panzer II, T34, M10
