it turned out okay I think but what a pain :( Unless I was very unlucky and/or you're prepared to battle I wouldn't recommend this kit, which is a shame the engine access etc is very good let down by poor engineering and quality of the decals.

The inner wing canon inspection/loading panels are supposed to be open but I forgot to open them for the pictures

She made you fight for it but you can't argue with the result. She looks great, I really like the final look

Thanks mate it was somewhat of a battle which is a shame, don't mind a challenge but it was all just bad engineering and poor quality. Not what I was expecting from all the reviews which none mention any of the issues I've had. For what this kit retails at in the UK which is approximately £70! it's not worth it IMHO!

Kevthemodeller-I agree with what has been written, the end result is a really nice looking model! I like the soft demarcation camouflage paint job.

Definitely a great job with a subject that didn’t want to play! I agree with all the previous comments and would add that you’ve done an amazing job with the decals as they look painted on : :

Quite a bit of the decals I did have to paint to hide, tears/cracks and where they just lifted off
Thank for all your very kind comments mate much appreciated :cheers2:

Lovely job, all the more so in the face of the issues you've had to overcome.

:cheers2: Neil much appreciated. Kits do at times push you a little which is all part of the fun, but when you're fighting poor engineering and paying a premium price it's does get a bit tedious

as everyone said you did a magnificent job ! did I miss a thread for the build of it ? Or did you just post the finish results ?
The kit seems to have beautiful details at least.
Greatjob !!

It's a shame about the kit throwing problems at you mate, but you've got a cracking-looking result out of it.

I've got a couple of Border afv kits in the stash & am now a wee bit worried about them not playing nicely.

I must say I wasn't expecting the issues I had/got, there's been nothing from any reviews other than prise that I could find. It could just be knowing how/the best way to put a Border kit together, but I don't think so, some of the instructions are very fugue in parts. The decals well mine in 2 kits were extremely flimsy and brittle, hopefully yours kits and my Ju87 will be different, the other FW190 is the same as this one.
