How to Make Wires

This may be common knowledge but I have recently made some of these wires to add to my Cold War Group build M60. Wires like this can be found all over modern tanks. Especially in the smoke dischargers. While this can be attained with single strand wires, I believe this technique can add certain detail to a kit.
Step #1:
You must attain a small wire and make it as straight as possible, no kinks. To straighten just grab both ends and pull gently (don't pull too hard or you risk breaking the strand).
Step #2:
Now bend that strand in half, but do not make a sharp fold or you could compromise your wire and you'll mess up the rest of the process.
Step #3:
Now the interesting part. I put the unbent ends into a power drill (make sure that the drill is the kind where you screw down and protruding clamps come down and grasp the either the drill bit or, in this case, the wire ends. Be sure that the ends are securely in the drill.
-Again with the thread of no sharp folds, their should be a little space in between the two halves.
Step #4:
In this step you must find a sturdy pole that will not move. This does not mean that one must cement a steel pole into the ground, I accomplished this with a simple toothpick in some Styrofoam.
Step #5:
Now the most critical bit. Make sure that the bent strand is taught against the pole. SLOWLY start to wind the wire halves together. If you go too fast you risk making the wires into a scrambled mess. Keep spinning the wire halves until you have your desired gauge twist of the wire.
Step #6:
Since you've now made your wire it's time to remove the excess and the loop on the end that was around the pole.
Have fun with your new bit of wire!!!!
