Global Scale Modeller

I bought this model form £17.50 as a test piece for my new Dspaie electric sander and polishing kit. It is quite basic but serves a purpose. I have decided to make my own transfers on a fictional rally car with me driving it to try and spruce the model up.



As the body was the main part I needed to test on. I primed up the body and decided that red would be the best colour use so I painted it then used gloss clear. Once this dried I went trough each step of the polishing kit and think it came out really shiny and was easy to use.






Once I was happy with this I decided it was time to start the rest of the model so at this point I primed up the other sprue. And then painted the first steps.

While doing this I also made up my personalised transfers on my pc just to add a bit of detail to the car.

Another weekend on the Citroen

First thing I did was build up the steering wheel and spoiler ready to be painted along with all the other parts for the next steps







Next I built up the roll cage to the rest of the car


Then I had to add the transfers for the seats and dash board



Then I stuck the seats in and finish building the dashboard up and stuck this into the rest of the car.

This weekend was time to complete the model.

The first thing I did was add all paint the black mouldings on the body as well as chroming the rear light holes.





Then it was time to add the final part of the roll cage and fit the door panels



Then it was time to add the interior to the chassis as well as fitting the wheels and suspension made earlier.



Then it was time to add the front lights panel as well as glass fronts, rear lights, windows and other exterior parts.







Finally it was time to add the transfers to the body and then attach it to the chassis.

That's really nice - well done on a great finish.
