Instead of me taking space in our servers posting 114 pictures, I thought I'd just put the link of the album in Photobucket.
Lee, the first 10 pictures or so are of the Hobbyboss "Dora" kit......... WOW!! massive kit. It took the guy 14 months to build!

off an on of course. He said to build it in sub assemblies and to put the cannon on last to be able to paint the inside section.
Ok guys enjoy:

WOW That's one massive kit in the first 15 pictures.. Watch Lee's vid on that kit and yes it looked like a big kit but after looking at pictures off it all together... WOW... That would be real nice to have in a collection..

That guy has got the paint and weathering bang on the money too. Just the right amount of fading with an ever so slightly weathered surface, exactly how I foresaw mine going!
The diorama I have planned for mine is going to make it 1300cm long and and 50cm wide, and it's growing everyday....lol
Thanks for the excellent pics Luis, will use them as a reference I'm sure

No problem Lee! I wish i had a better camera but all i brought was my IPhone. The guy took 2nd place. He had a few glue marks here and there as well as some seam lines. At my club we don't go for the wow factor, if we did he would've gotten best of show for sure!!

Was the show a regional or local ipms show? I recognized a bunch of the entries from the Nats this summer. Thanks for sharing.

Good eye Russ!! The show its a regional show ( region 8) and yea, there were a bunch of guys from the nats there. They weren't too happy because of our rule that says that if ur model placed in nationals then it is automatically disqualified from the competition. It was created to encourage competitors to build more instead of bringing a model and take it to a bunch of contest.

Yes, we got the same rules out here in Colorado. I like them. I don't think it is fair for a Nats winner to be taking awards at a local or regional show. Besides, it gets pretty boring seeing the same model at all the shows. I have some awards, and am pleased, but I'd rather be building models than collecting trophies.
