GraphicAir A300S-D Spray Booth

Post by Lee »

An inbox review the GraphicAir A300S-D Spray Booth.

After using this for a few months now I can honestly say that it is not only an essential bit of kit, but worth every penny too.....

I have to 100% agree with Lee, its a superb product that works perfectly.

I had the expo tools portable spray booth before this and the expo tools is no where near as good as the Graphic Air.

A must have buy for any modeller.

It's an excellent bit of kit Jim.

If you seriously want one let me know as I may be able to get you a little discount or at the worst an extra filter for free. They have my review vid on their site so, I can get a little cheeky....lol

Thanks mate.
My biggest issue is shipping costs being in the USA. There has to be an equivalent over here but this does look like a splendid piece of kit

Postage was only £20 iirc Jim. I can have a word with the owners if you like. I'll be able to get a discount of some sort as they use my review vid on their site ;)

Sounds good mate.
Let me know and I would be happy to order one if you get me the details and pricing Lee :-). I have a workshop being built in my basement but nowhere near ready so I would need something like this for my room/workshop to keep the birds/dogs/me/wife happy.

Would love one of those to replace my "portable spray booth" but they are very expensive here in NZ but if someone can suggest a supplier who does reasonable shipping i might be able to get a few other builders interested.

I've had a word with the MD at GraphicAir and he's said that unless we get a group buy together he can't really offer a decent discount.

To get a good discount we'll need at least 10 people to buy one. :D

If the discount is good and i can get a month or so notice id be keen.
Big worry is the customs/duty etc that they would charge for something like this.

After a lot of research on doing a DIY Booth to replace the one I currently use, I've determined that just forking over the money will be the sensible thing to do. It "may" be a bit cheaper to DIY but not by much. If I am going to do it right I need to get a decent motor/vent which will cost between 100.00/300.00 depending on the setup. Then other materials, plus time.

So, in that vein, I've determined that my time is worth money and I'd rather be spraying and not building.

My question is: Does anybody have a good recommendation for Spray Booth I can purchase here in the states? I hate the thought of shipping from overseas. Cheers!

If I lived in the States, I'd take a close look at Pace spray booths. http://www.pacepaintbooths.com Not the best choice for Canadians, as we really get hosed on currency exchange, shipping rates, duties, and taxes.

Is it the same one as the Benchvent BV300S-D?
I'm planning on getting one for the new hobby room around March/April next year, so I'm definitely interested in what you come up with, Lee.

I like the construction of that BenchVent extractor. That's exactly the sort of thing I could use. I wonder if there's any possibility of including a shipment to Canada and the U.S. in whatever group buy comes about? There is no mid-range option in North America - we only get the cheap ebay fold-up units or grossly overpriced devices that would look more at home in a laboratory.
