My entry to the Honour Our Heroes GB.

A little history of the AVGP Cougar:
The AVGP (Armoured Vehicle General Purpose) is a series of three armoured fighting vehicles ordered by the Canadian military in 1977. The three vehicles are the Grizzly, Cougar and Husky. These were based on the six-wheeled version of the Swiss MOWAG Piranha I. A Cougar is easily distinguished from other AVGP family members by its large Alvis turret (as used on British CRV(T) Scorpion recce vehicles). The main armament was the 76mm L23A1, a Royal Ordnance medium-velocity gun. The original idea was that Cougars would familiarize Reserve units with tank tactics without the costs of operating larger numbers of Leopard C1s. When the Grizzly ISCs deployed overseas, the Cougar with its 76mm gun was a natural choice to provide peacekeepers with direct fire support. The Cougar's gun lacked the punch of higher velocity weapons but its shells were large enough to pack a useful high-explosive charge. High Explosive Squash-Head rounds gave the Cougar a limited anti-armour capability – which became important in the Balkans. The L23A1 gun also fired cannister and smoke shells. Downsides were the cramped quarters and the aluminum turret armour.

Well the upper/lower hull is 90% complete.

In the process of modifying the tail lamp guards. The kit piece has three diagonal bars across the guard, where as the actual vehicle is two vertical bars.

I hope to be able to prime everything later today.(Sunday)

Well looks like I goofed. The later cougars had a 3 piece diagonal lamp guard...
Oh well, I can still replace the molded in bars with brass rod for a better look.

The mesh PE for the rear basket is kinda tricky to get it to sit right. But fit and finish is good, just some fiddly parts.
Im opting to leave the view ports off till after painting as I really dont wanna have to mask all those tiny parts...
