Prairie grass?

I want to do a diorama of wild prairie grass.

I can use the bristles from cheap dollar store brushes, they work well as dry grass, but I don't want to have to drill thousands of holes and have to "plant" thousands of bristles.

Anyone have a quick way to get lots of grass onto a diorama?
