Revell 1/12 Harley-Davison Electra Glide Tires Needed

Yesterday in a local charity shop I picked up for £1 a 90s boxing of the 1/12 Electra Glide motorbike by Revell. The frame is broken in several places which I can fix. Otherwise it is complete apart from decals (not a problem) and rubber tires (which is a huge problem). I emailed Revell to see if tires are available and the impressively quick answer was no! I have looked online for replacements without luck so far. Any of you bike modellers know where I might source replacements?
Thanks

Hi Rob

I have a box full of older Tamiya 1/12 Bike kits that I built years ago that I was not happy with and broke for spares, no Harleys though but a few Japanese road bikes, if you send me a PM of the diameter and width of the wheels I should be able to provide you with a couple of 1/12 road tyres (or even slicks) with tread that could even be stretched to fit rims or even cut and joined with the join line underneath the mudguard and behind forks I guess for a smaller diameter rim or you could have a pair of wheels with tyres for a customised Harley.

Better than nought unless someone has an old 1/12 Revell Bike they are breaking, another idea is to keep an eye on Ebay, occasionally someone will sell broken 1/12 bike kits for spares or repair quite cheaply.

Shame Revell could not provide you with spares, they are normally pretty good but I guess your kit has been out of production for a long time?

Best of luck.
