Global Scale Modeller

Well I got back into the hobby about a year ago after a 20yr hiatus. Sound familiar? This was one of the first kits I purchased and started on, notice I said ONE OF THE FIRST. I started several since then all of which are in different stages. But this one is finally in the home stretch, so thought I would share. I should note that from about April '13 to Sept' 13 I was not active at all and my bench was vacant due to busy work life. Luckily I now have more time.

Anyway this really isn't a progress pic from start to finish, but thought I would share where I am at now. Which is just finishing up the weathering.

And once done with mud and stuff, I plan on placing it in this little gem.



Thanks for looking. Feels good to finally be close to finishing one of the 5 or 6 builds i got on the bench... EEK. Any feedback is welcomed.

You have worked it well and produced a kit worthy of lots of praise.
I hope you crack on with that command post as I always fancied that kit but have never seen one built from start to finish
Maybe you could start a build thread when you find the time to work on it??

That's actually a great idea. I think maybe if I did a build thread, it would help me stay on track, as well as a way for me to ask for advice along the way. Which I am always appreciative of.

....and yeah you could show us your build, ask advise and then show the advise put to good use on the next post..

I too am a recent returnee after 30+ years so not very confident.... got bags of passion and enthusiasm though!

it will look fantastic on the diorama when finished, and i know what you mean by getting a few finished.
