OOB Airfix 1/48 English Electric Canberra PR.9
This is one of my very first builds. There's a bit of a story to this one....
I found out that my Dad used to work on these a lot when he was in the RAF at several different air bases. This was a present for my Fathers 80th birthday for him so, this has been a labour of love for me. I wasn't sure if he'd appreciate this more than the usual bottle of single malt that he always wants, but I hope so (and he did).
This was the 2nd model that I'd actually finished (the other a Saturn V), I made so many mistakes, which I'm sure you can see such as wrong roundels (cocked the first ones up!), gloss and not matt coat, a lot of silvering even though I used two coats of Klear, to name a few...lol
I did make the base up and used one of the cardboard runway strips you can buy from Hannants which I thought would make it presentable, I think it works quite well
