Trumpeter 1:48 Supermarine Seafang F. Mk32

Post by Joesdad »

A quick check-in on my latest kit, there's not much of a build blog unfortunately.
The simple reason why is that when I started it I got carried away and didn't log any progress...

Image

My first Trumpeter kit this one

Image

A decent amount of plastic here

Image

Image

A little bit of PE, another first for me, clear (as a bell) parts are very good

Image

Think we'll do this scheme

Image

No stencils thank god

Image

As I say I've done quite a bit already (pics to follow shortly), a lovely build so far, no issues to note and practically no filler used.
Truth be told, I'm at work bored so I thought I would share... Ooo gotta go.. Customers... Thousands of 'em....

Tim
Yes.. It is supposed to look like that!

looks a great kit to be honest and im interested in seeing how this comes to look finished, as i have had a few of trumpeters kits that have been really good to build but no planes to-date.

I know it's a bit of a basic build log guys, just can't seem to get into it.
Maybe it's because I'm not sure what I'm doing, because I've used some PE seat belts as well as the supplied one's. Will show later on.
Thanks for looking.....

G'day Rossco, funnily enough I did cross my mind, I did an old Airfix "Val" awhile back (it's on ISM somewhere) and that had painted stripes on it. A bit of a nightmare if I'm honest mate, so no I think I'll stick with the decals..... But you never know.....

I hate decalling at the best of times, some of you lot might like it but I don't.
When they kinda fall apart or look crap it dosn't help. Wish me luck Rossco......

Actually, Paulie, it turned out ok, it doesn't bear a close inspection and wouldn't win a prize, but it's fine (for me).
