There is a chain of US hobby stores called HobbyTown USA. They ship to the majority of the US only.

Also, M&Models is a great place to order from. They ship worldwide.

Hobby Town is a great shop. There is one in a city near me, and I used to drive there. Great selection, full line of Tamiya paints, nice employees. Recommended!

There are many more for the U.S. side guys.

www.scalehobbyist.com is my personal favorite and has the best pricing and of course previously mentioned
www.redfroghobbies.com lots of accessories you won't find from other US dealers
www.spruebrothers.com quite possibly the faster shipper out there
www.cajunmodelcompany.com has good sales from time to time
www.megahobby.com is now the U.S. distributor for AK products
www.squadron.com The ubiquitous distributor/retailer which I never buy from since I reside in Texas I have to pay shipping AND tax.

This is just a few of the ones I can remember right now.

On my end HobbyTown is a joke. RC centric inventory with only a few models and high high prices. Anything that I can buy at HobbyTown I can buy on Ebay or elsewhere for 30-40% less...in same cases more. I was able to buy the Tamiya M51 Sherman from an Ebay dealer for $35 with shipping and HobbyTown wanted $69.99 plus tax!!

Make sure to have your phone handy so you can check prices before you buy anything!

Here is another distributor of hobby supplies and kits that I use; http://www.hobbylinc.com

By the way....Scalehobbyist.com are 10 miles from where I live and they let me come to their distribution center and collect anything that I order so I can save on the$9.00 shipping fee!

Boy, no kidding. The closest Hobbytown by my house caters more to the RC crowd; they have at most two aisles dedicated to models(including paint and glue!)

Here as well!! If you are into RC buggies and race trucks that is the place to go. Oh sure, they can "order" anything you want, but, when you need something the "order" does you no good. And yes, keep the smart phone handy!! Have found some things priced at well over 75% what you can get them online for. And that would include shipping..

The Closest Hobbytown from me in down in Indy and their prices are crazy in the Modeling side and Railroading side. Ican find better deals on the net if I need Supplies for my models. If I need supplies for my Railroad side I either get it off of the net or if I am buying an engine and I want to hold it first I head to Kokomo to my buddies shop. :) Just my .02 cents. Kevin
