Hello, just signed up to than you and ask a question! So here goes.

Thank you so much for your tutorial videos in this series, they have helped so much as I'm just getting back into model making after not doing any kit models for a good 10 to 15 years and then these last to years I've made a couple of scratch build dioramas (one for an Action Man and a lot smaller scale cottage). Anyway, I'm waffling. On to the question.

In your last video you clear matt coated the plane at the end, and I can't quite catch what the name of the product you used was, can you point me in the right direction, I've tried googleing what I think you said but it comes back with no returns!

Thanx again. Great videos and a lovely looking site you have got here.

Cheers.

Hi I wanted to thank you Paul I am upto number eight on these videos and having return about twelve months ago they have been massively helpful/inspiring . It's the first time I've found a really good use for my Apple TV. You ask for ideas for other topics I wonder if it's possible to do one on weathering/painting with a brush as it seems I'm unlikely to get an airbrush due to the fact I in the corner of the lounge modelling. Particually I'm looking for ways to add exhaust stains. Any way the point is thanks paul fantastic vids :thumb2:

Thanks Paul :bow::

Just watched all the videos... having just finished that particular model myself a few weeks before joining this forum. :crazy:

Very instructive and excellently presented throughout the series. Fortunately - I have 2 more 109s' on my 'to do' list, and I will certainly be using some of the tips shown in the clips.

My EZ Line turned up today... so aerial rigging won't be so much of a pain any more (hopefully)

Called into my local hobby shop the other day just before they closed and i saw this kit on the shelf, put it down as fate :) so i picked it up, just looking through the kit now to work out what paints i need to pick up. Is it still ok to ask questions about your build on this or is it a bit too long since you did it?

<sneaks in a post while Paul's eye is on the thread>

Thank-you Paul for your videos as for someone who has come back to the craft after many years away, I have found them very informative, and like others they were a major contributor in myself joining this forum. During your paint/primer recommendations you recommended Vellejo primer as your primer of choice. Also during the 14 part series it is still your primer of choice, though I do see a comment line from 10 months ago in Part 7 of 14 Modeling where you says you now use the AK primer in lieu. I do notice my reading around that Vellejo Primer is either loved or hated by uses, and the same seems to go for the AK Primer. There seems to be a lot of love around for enamel primers, but from what I read the Acrylic primers are very hit and miss.

Was the reason for the change to AK more due to the long cure time of the Vellejo product, or was there another reason? Do you still use the AK product?
