Just ordered the new lanc as all reports say its great
Some might thing that this is a cop out but I would like to use masks for the canopies etc, looking up eduard etc I can only find ones for the revell and hasquawa kits 1/72
Does anyone know if either. Of these 2 makes would be suitable even with slight adjustments,
If not its loads of tape and time

Can't help you but I got spoiled with Cockpit masks... they are nice when they fit !

Tamiya Tape can also be your friend here...

that's quite a Green-House you have to tape over.... Good luck with the project !

Personally, I would wait for Eduard to release a set - Can't be long, they're usually on their game like that

I think lee's is the best idea. If you're inpatient, like me, you could just cover it with tamiya tape, then cut round the frame. That's what I do as I think paint masks can be a bit expensive for what you get.
If you try doing your own, a couple of tips I've picked up:
Use a new blade! No matter how old/young your present one
If the frame is nicely raised, use a cocktail stick to define the edges
For difficult to see areas, put a light source behind the canopy. This will show the frame a lot clearer. I use the torch app on my phone?!
If you make a mistake, don't panic, you can touch up the mask with a bit of 'maskol' applied with a cocktail stick

Ps I think after market masks are great, if it matches your kit. Especially at lager scales, as you get separate masks for inner and outer frames (different colours and sizes) but personally, I don't think that would matter on a 1/72 bomber.
But that's purely my opinion!
