What a great OOB interior.

Hi Guys

Really sorry to have joined the site to late to participate in the Holy Toledo it's a Panzer II build, I really love the early Panzers. That being said I received this from the good wife for Christmas this year and I've been quietly building it since.



It's a pretty old kit (number 6263) and not without some problems, the biggest being the Drive sprockets only have 25 teeth instead of 26 but I'm super impressed with the OOB interior it comes with. So much so that I thought I would put up some pictures of what it has. Still partway through the weathering stage but everything in these pictures is OOB, no spares box raiding or scratch building.









I think this kit was based on a Marder II kit (there are Marder II sprues in the box) and this kit is still around BUT Dragon have released a new Panzer II A with full interior, so if you like the early Panzers it might be a kit to watch out for.

The only down side is I don't know how much is going to be seen when it's all completed, not much I expect but I will know it's there.

Thanks mate, not really going to blog this build (plus it will go on the backburner once the Steel Rain SIG starts), I was just really impressed with the supplied internals and thought I would pop it up as heads up if anyone was interested.

I'm going to be trying a few different things on this build so I might just show the result (good or bad) of what I attempt. I will post up the finished build though.

If you like that you should build AFV's T34, that's got a great interior, with engine the lot

Paul, not really into WWII Russian armour but I might look that kit up. After all probably should make the effort to build a T-34, it's a bit like the Tiger and Sherman should at least have one in the stash. I'll check out PMMS and see what I can find.

Very nice interior Rossco, you've done a cracking job on it.

Just recently finished Dragon's 234/4, spent ages on the interior, only for it to be mostly covered when complete. I'm like you though, I know that it's under there!

Alex, cheers mate, It probably says something about us but it just wouldn't feel right to not build and weather it, just because it can't be seen. I once even went so far as to include a packet of cigarettes and a helmet next to the drivers sent in a Puma .
