Revell Krupp Protze & 3,7 cm Pak 1/76 Scale

The L 2 H 43 and L 2 H 143 "Krupp-Protze" (unofficial designation) was a six-wheeled German truck and artillery tractor used by German forces in World War II. It was powered by a 55 hp or 60 hp (since 1936) Krupp M 304 4-cylinder petrol engine. Its main purpose was to tow artillery, especially the PaK 36, and transport motorized infantry.
This vehicle was extensively used on the Eastern Front, during the North African campaign and in France and Sicily. The "Krupp-Protze" was of relatively advanced design. It was mass-manufactured between 1933 and 1941. Its fuel consumption was relatively high (24 Litres / 100 km on road) in comparison to the comparable Opel Blitz 1.5 t truck (16.5 liters / 100 km, produced 1938 - 1942). Total production was about 7,000 units.
The Pak 36 (Panzerabwehrkanone 36) was a German anti-tank gun that fired a 3.7 cm calibre shell. It was the main anti-tank weapon of Wehrmacht infantry units until mid-1941. It was followed in this role by the 5 cm Pak 38 gun.

The Kit
This kit is great. It comes on two grey plastic sprues with no flash (that is usually the case with grey plastic for me ). Unlike most of Revell's aircraft, there is crew in the kit (one driver glued in the truck but no gun crew). This kit comes with an anti-tank gun and a small diorama-like base.

i like the 1/76 builds plus this is something i like to see, a truck and a pak gun and i can't wait to see this on it's diorama, ok i have to wait but that is part of the fun also.

I've built this in the past. Love the revel 1:76 range. Substantially better than airfix imo. Good luck with your build hope it goes well.

After assembly, before decals, washes and weathering. Btw does anyone here know how to weather a truck with pastels and chipping and rust because I tend to overdo it

This is the completed kit and I must say that it was a complete joy to construct. This was my first time weathering and using pastels. I absolutely love this project and it will get a spot on top of my model desk.

And as for the weathering I drybrushed, painted on some chipping and then used dullcoat to hold the pigments onto the models. P.S soon I will be starting my 1/76 airfix panzer IV and I will have youtube videos up ( my channel is Locomotive153)
