Nothing here. Ducking out of this one to concentrate more on the Steel Rain SiG.

Revell 1:72 B-17G Flying Fortress for me. I know this will probably be quite a popular kit for the GB but oh well for some reason it's the only bomber I have currently. I'm going to build it completely OOB and it seems like a great kit. I've done an inbox review on youtube if anyone wants to see it.

I was thinking of doing this...

But at 709mm wingspan, there's nowhere for it to go just yet!

So I'll start with this horrible kit that's been making the place look untidy!!

Cant decide...

Will the Arado Ar E.555 be ok?
Never flew :shhh: but a bomber...Project.
Or, Italeri 1/48 JU87 D-5, Italeri 1/48 Dornier Do 217-M1, Hasegawa 1/48 Arado Ar 234 C-3.
Was also thinking Revell 1/32 He 111 P-1, JU88 A1 or A4 but dont know, they are BIG and not sure I have the Place right now.
Hmmm...

I assume that if they manufactured them then it counts? But you'd have to ask T3hGuppy,Lee or Paul as I'm not really sure if it counts.

I will be doing this...

And possibly in this scheme...

Image

Yes, I understand that the yellow scheme is the prototype, but for one I'm not a rivet counter I do it for fun, and second... I don't care, it's my model I tell you! However, it's not set in stone, I just want to do something from the 'typical' mosquito theme.

Im going to say no to the Arado Ar E.555

As they never built a prototype.

Prototypes are fine though.

Affirmative! and fair enough, it only flew on the drawing board.
(Cant blame a Luft46 Lover for trying though... ;) )

Hmm decisions, decisions...

I'll be doing a very famous bomber, built at the very same assembly plant where I currently work in Baltimore, Maryland. The Martin B-26 Marauder, called Flak-Bait. The cockpit of this plane is actually on display at the Air and Space Museum right down the street(about an hour away) in Washington D.C. I plan to stop by and take lots of pics for reference and will add them to my group build thread.

I purchased the kit off of ebay, as you can't get the Revell kit anywhere. It's in pretty bad shape, and raised panel lines, but I wanted a challenge.

Can't wait to start!!!

Sorry buddy this one wouldn't qualify for this GB as was designed as an attack aircraft not bomber.

Yeah a B57 is fine and a nice subject too :th:

well plans have been changed for me
i was going to get my entry on a convention but i spotted some kits for this gb and for a future build aswell at a shop where i'm a regular visitor
so i'm going to get those kits because i like the subjects and the prizes that are beeing charged aren't bad
the kits i'm going for are:
1:72 he111 h-6 by italeri
1:72 junkers ju-88 by airfix
not sure wich i will enter maybe both if i have the time
and a 1:48 me262 b1 night fighter for the night fighter build in april
and maybe some other goodies who knows
but i'm looking forward to this as i haven't build a plane in a couplr of years now
should be fun (i hope)

Nice to see another one of Martins creations entering. There are a few B-57's at the Glen L Martin Museum next door to my workplace, let me know if you would like some close up pictures, and I will stop by.

I wasn't going to enter this GB as I thought I didn't have any bombers, but I've had this in my stash for years now and totally forgot about it until some one else mentioned they're doing a B-57.

I've built this kit as the Canberra PR.9 and for an old Airfix kit it went together like a dream. At 1/48 it's a big bird though :eeek:

Looking forward to building it....

I'll be building this one :)

Can't wait to get started. Unfortunately I am moving house very soon so it may have to wait till that's all done and dusted. For some reason the more things I try and pack the more my stuff seems to multiply and make it seem like my house exploded.

Edit: I am not looking forward to masking up that particular canopy (O)_o

I've already posted this elsewhere (http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=207&t=4588) but here's mine! A ratty old kit I inherited from a friend's grandfather. I wasn't sure when I would ever build it. Now is my chance!

A no on this one as it was designed as a heavy fighter not a bomber.

Shame because I have one of these in the stash.

I do too, believe that I shall bow out of this one. I don't want to take on too much and I've still got a full bench.
Definitely in for the Steel Rain build though!

25 euros is about equal to $50 CAD - much appreciated Mark. Thanks for all the info.
My LHS doesn't carry it but I might resort to fleabay.

I found the Monogram 1/48 scale "visible" B17G in my stash yesterday morning. Debating weather or not to build it OOB or get additional true detail sets for it. Perfect time to start on it, this will be my 1st GB ever!!

Hi guys !!!!

Its been a while since I enter a Group Build... but I love bombers !!! What concerns me is the deadline ... since I can only start working in 5 of February... :( but I will try my best and put all other projects aside!!!
And after reading the rules post I got really wound up !!! It's true the prizes are great ... and for that would like to thank the generosity of the sponsor Models R go !!
When I read that the most important thing is the posting and not the quality of the model I though I might have a change of winning something... since my models are really crappy !!
You all must be thinking "doesn't this guy shut up and tell us what is he building??" .... ok ok!!!

I'm going to enter this GB with the

B-58 Hustler 1/48th Monogram
Image

I will try to do something different in the way I do the post ... like... something light and funny !!!

Stay tunned !!! :D
