DIY Paint Rack Material

Post by hooterville75 »

My airbrush spray booth is about two foot high or more with nothing on the sides except a airbrush holder on the right side. I now have almost the complete range of Vallejo Model Air and the entire range of Tamiya XF paints. I would like to make paint racks that I could tack to each side of the spray booth where I could have Vallejo on one side and Tamiya on the other. What is the best material you all would suggest to use to make a paint rack and what would be the best way to attach it to each side of my spray booth ?

Right now I have them setting on a stand that is not big enough for them haha, which bunches them up and makes it hard to find the number or color of paint your looking for not to mention taking up space that I would rather keep open. Not to mention using a stand that I would rather have available to make another station by my work bench. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any suggestions on each question.

Ill have to get the Millimeter to inches converter out to figure that one out hahahaha. I think Im going to do such and build a framed shelf then try to glue it to the side of the booth. If not then perhaps try to screw it to the side.

Translates to 1"x.75" backed by .5"mdf.

The Tamiya pots are too heavy with the glass, but the squeeze bottle types could be velcro'ed to the side of the booth.
