japan model vids

Post by stellamonster »

Hi everyone,

Wasn't sure where to post this, apologies if its in the wrong place.
I started watching these vids on youtube a while back, the quality isn't that great but some great viewing if the telly is rubbish, which it normally is.
The quality a skills of these guys blow me away and very inspiring.
Hope you enjoy :cheers2:

These were the old Plamo Tsokurou series by Fuji TV.
Fuji TV cancelled the series and went on a mission to have all of its videos removed from YouTube.
Most are gone now. The few that remain are the older, multi part epidoses and even those are being deleted.
Every now and then someone posts the HD version of the series. (like this fellow):

Enjoy.

I have their SP-19 series favourited where the guy makes a little n-gauge layout of suburban Japan circa 1950-60 in a TV shaped box! Looks amazing.

They (Fuji TV) should release them on DVD/Blu-Ray, with english subtitles, think that would sell quite well!

I'm subscribed to both of those fellows, the one with the most subscriber (sleepylafiel) is the one that got cancelled first. But now these guys are loading up the HD versions!! :) there are tons of them but their names are in Japanese so its real hard to find them........ I watch these guys ALL THE TIME!! Good for inspiration. :)

These videos were my first contact with model building on youtube. Then i discovered BasicModelling and few others and after a while i told myself: "They make videos in Japanese only, with English subtitles these vids would even more helpful. I can do that too but with the subtitles".
