Agreed, but after being away from the hobby for so long, I couldn't bring myself to buy the more expensive kits. Every single Revell kit I've bought was purchased with a 50% off coupon. I have broke down and bought some more choice models The best being a Tamiya 1/350 Enterprise that I scored for around 50 bucks, gotta love Craigslist!

Cockpit Complete! The seats don't sit in the tub as well as I would like.

I really like the effect with the radar screens; they look brilliant. As a novice I have no idea how you achieved it though

Its no secret, I used Tamiya X-5 Green and once dry applied a tiny drop of future. Have a go at it and see how it works out for ya.

Well, I own X5 green, but I'm afraid I don't know what 'future' is . I'm still in the junior league here........

Max, it is an acrylic floor polish sold a lot of places in the US. 'Pledge One Go' is what they call it in Australia, I believe. I hope this helps you out and Good luck.

Interesting to see what you do with the Revell kit looking good so far
I´m a big fan of the F-14 so always cool to see people build one.

just wondering if you cold do a list of the color callouts you will be using as about to start f14 a myself cheers

Looking good so far. I think I might have to get an F14 at somepoint to go alongside my F16 and F18 in the stash.

Update, this kit has been put on hold. Fit is terrible, major surgery is needed to complete this. Given all the other stuff going on, this kit will have to wait.
