Would there be any interest in setting up an ISM Google + community to allow for Hangouts? I'm a member of several great communities. It allows up to ten people to chat with live video. Excellent method of distributing techniques showing off your models and generally chatting! I'd be prepared to host a trial run if theres any interest?

I went on google plus, joined a few 'circles', next thing my phone was going mental getting emails of EVERY post in those circles. Hundreds every day! Needless to say, G+ is long gone from my phone! Lol

Just search for International Scale Modeller on google plus it should come up.

This can be turned off in your account. I had the same problem.

I was already linked to the ISM G+ page but no sign of any hangouts and very little happening on the pages either. A great pity as hangouts are great fun especially if you don't have a local club .

The Skype and Facebook do have regular posts and conversation.

If you're not talking we actually sometimes have something that could pass for a conversation

Have you tried this Paul? There are hangouts for Amazing Plastic and SFMA groups on G+ great for discussing everything about our great hobby.

Lol yeah, I'm not a fan of groups like that or Skype usually as I find they take away posts from the forum, which to me is more important than any other group etc. I do like our Skype group though as it's more adult banter which for the sake of ism members we keep off here lol.

It's not the video chat were using which is better as it's more informal

Understood Paul but you should give it a go! There's an SFFMU (sci-fi fans and modellers united) European hangout tonight at 8pm, if you joined the G+ community you could see the format. Equally any else that's interested, give it a go!
