New build speed record/finding my mojo

Since the new year kicked in I've completely lost my modelling mojo even though I received some Airfix armour that I've been wanting for a while. I managed to finish off my Smer Caudron C.714 that's been staring at me for a while but my Lancaster is still awaiting the green paint and decals which are all that is needed to finish it off and the Stug III I started on Christmas day needs the tracks painted before I can go any further...

Well, last Friday I was offered 2 bin bags full of kits which sounded ok for the price until I found out that none were in boxes and both bin bags were bulging! I couldn't resist, who could? When I got them home and started sorting through I found that there was over 100 kits but over half were boats which don't interest me so I am selling those. In amongst some amazing aircraft, (like Lancasters, Short Stirling, Horsa glider, He111, Wellington and loads of fighters) the 2 kits that jumped out at me were 2 little Revell 1:144 jets, an F-15 and a MiG-29. Now there's something wrong with that!

BUT! Last night, whilst suffering severe man-flu, I built the F-15, filled and filed the gaps and gave it it's first coat oat of paint in less that an hour and a half which is a new build speed record for me and has restored my mojo! Happy days!

So what have you done to restore your mojo and what is your build speed record?

Welcome back Mojo, always nice to see you! I think my fastest was the 1/72 Canberra for the Cold War GB. About 3 hours I think. Funnily enough, that got my mojo back as well!

My panzer got my mojo back, but I have lost it due to a very intimidating 1/35 scale anti-tank gun

I just don't think I could tackle anything in 1/35, my 1/72 Lancaster is intimidating enough.

and it's still on my desk in front of me and I think it's judging me...

Wise words, Guppy!
Raptor - buying those 2 bin bags FULL of kits really did work for me and now selling off the surplus to make some cash for the Yeovilton show is filling me with modelling joy as I didn't think I'd be able to afford to go.

Is there a thread on here about Yeovilton? Who's going and where to meet up etc?

Where could one find a "bulging bag of kits"?

Subject to last minute changes I hope to be there as well. Maybe start a thread in the week run up to the event?

Sounds like a good idea!
