Its not a great job i know! it took about 12 months to do with breaks in between. The mini art buildings almost ended up in the bin.

I'd love to be able to do this but I have developed an aversion to painting people over the last couple of months. Hats off to you, Nige, it's a real piece of art!

Really nice and busy Nige. Kept my eyes moving for quite some time.
What is the setting? Russia, France, central Europe?
I'm not a fan of figures either, in fact I hate them, but to properly show scale and drama sometimes they are necessary.
I've got a couple that have a dozen or so figures in them. After building them I discovered an assembly-line method where I could spit two or three out in about 2 hours post assembly (using acrylics and liquin in my oil washes).
Did you do any reposing of the figures or are they all out-of-the-box? I'm familiar with a lot of the common figures out there and some of these guys look new to me.

The setting is France, just after occupation. The story im trying to tell is the land owner is trading food and wine for some fuel for the Citreon.which in one of the pics you can just see.

I see it hiding in the shed.
I thought that it might be France post occupation.
I saw the anti-tank rifle in the back of the half-track and thought maybe Western Front too.
I thought that they were mostly used against the Russian, Polish, and Greek forces up to Kursk then they faded out, but I'm not sure. It's been awhile since I brushed up on them.
I'm not trying to be a rivet counter, I was just curious.

Cool diorama. I like your painting style.
The story line is very believable. Though I suspect his fellow Frenchmen might consider him a "Collaberator".
The ground work and buildings are done very nicely as well.
Bill.

Looks very nice! It tells a nice story.
I know how frustrating MiniArt buildings can be, but whenever it pisses me off i just think how expensive other buildings are and then i love the MiniArt buildings again :)
