Hi guys just got a few resin pieces from accurate armour. They look really nice (if a bit pricey). Anyway can anybody give me any tips on how to deal with the stuff ie: how do I get the parts off the great big lumps of @$&@#! Resin they are attached to.

well bud first make sure you use a mask that is the most important thing..use a hack saw for the large parts cut the big mold on the back into squares then use cutters to then clip them off i then i use a dremmel to sand them down..window open i also which i never tried before which works really well i use the extension hose on my hover and do all the sanding over that it sucks all the nasty bits away..hope this helps if you look at my priest thread you will see how much resin there is

I've found a model i really want to do but its only in resin. I've watched the resin safety video and will so watch the two in this thred. do you guys think i should wait a few years to do it or i will be ok after a few models? its also $90 Canadian for a 1/72 bomber. is that normal for a resin kit?

Resin kits do tend to be more expensive than styrene kits. If there's only one company that makes the kit you're after it makes shopping around a bit harder too! Personally, I'd go for it (if you can afford it). Respect the resin, but don't be scared of it. The only way you'll get experience with resin is to use it. So holding off for a few years will just delay that experience! Only my opinion tho...
