Hi all,

Several options with this one, after a while in the build and some research I settled for early G variant.

Notable adjustments to the kit so far are turret roof depressions and weld seams and the hull frontal additional armor plate - scratch build.

Yes, there are individual links tracks, and yes, all of them have injection marks

This will be really cool to see the results. I've never seen it done quite this way before. At least not with that kind of base painting.

That went entirely differently than I expected!
Holy potential Batman!!! Dude that's completely cool looking how that turned out. That's one battered tank!
I see a few tiny spots that got taken back to plastic but that's easily touched up.
Experiment... success!

I am planing a tricolor camouflage pattern and the way I figured would work, at least for me, is to to have more chips and rust at this point. This will give some space to maneuver later if anything goes wrong. I am also trying to prevent the paint build up

Below are few shots with the second color in place, again salt screening used in places to preserve the random look.

Here are some new shots showing a partial rough in of the second camouflage color on the main body of the tank.

In places paint got scratched out, I am kind of impatient rushing to get an idea of how it might look and I did not allowed enough time for paint to dry completely.

Those are the closest close ups that I've ever seen and your work held up to it.
That's fraking amazing! Dude... that effect is completely excellent!!!
There's a couple of tiny spots that the plastic is showing from the treatment, but that's to be expected with salt masks.

Salt is only the random part... and not very fast tough...
I should have take more time for paint to dry b/w layers and some sort of protection on top of the base coat, as by now the spots that will need corrections are piling up fast
I guess for the second build at 1/35 the result is fair...

I'd go with the brown running next to the green my friend. Not too much though eh?
It's usually good to keep the bands thinner rather than thicker with that style of camo.

After a bit of digging I found these 2 pictures on the topic, honestly I like both... now wondering if I can/should combine the patterns on the model without getting outside a reasonable modeling licence?

A lot of camo work was applied in the field by the crew under the direction of the tank commander or one of the higer up C.O.s
There was a lot of variety in the work and only a rough attempt at consistency.
So yes you can use a bit of licence.
You should know that it was very uncommon to pain the area behind the wheels with camo.
That first picture is most likely from a museum piece.

Hi all,

Below is a small update, third camouflage color roughed in on the main volume of the tank.
Still a long way to go, however the shots gives a pretty good idea of how the model will look like.
Aiming to achieve a consistent look, both from afar and up close.... in details...

I am glad you like it, and I really appreciate your tips and advice.

Btw, I have seen your vid with your collection, great work, really impressive mate.

This one is only my second time I build a model at 1/35 and use an airbrush so I kind of baby stepping and not always in the right direction. As such you can see how helpful it is for me to get a push on the right track. Especially coming from you with so much experience under your belt.

Please keep it coming and let me know, especially the mistakes and the weak points in my approach to scale modeling

Almost ready only couple of issues that i would like to ask your opinion guys
1. How would you like more, with or without the track sections on the front hull?
2. Some fine weathering, maybe on the wheels and tracks? Or leave it as it is? Or any other suggestion?
