This may be a well known trick but I just found out about it and thought I would share.
When cutting model kit glass be it a windshield (screen), canopy or whatever of the sort, take your modelling knife and heat the blade with a candle flame or lighter flame and then cut the piece off of the sprue. It will cut thru without cracking or stressing the glass and then just clean up the part as you normally do. HTH.

Now that is a good idea, never thought of it but, will definitely give a go on my FR.47 build I'm doing at the moment - Cheers

Excellent tip have been using this method for a while but beware if you heat the blade too much as I did once and it turns black it can stain the cockpit unless you are very careful and have a steadier hand than me.
What do people use to secure their cockpits as I have endless trouble wit them. I have tried most of the names products eg: Revell Clear adhesive and I still manage to mess them up, any suggestions??

Micro scale industries Krystal klear is what I use and it works very well.
