I would not go back too far incase the machine was faulty

Easy - premiere of Beethoven's 9th Symphony (Ode to Joy) May 7th, 1824... (he was stone deaf by this stage and had to be turned around to face the standing ovation from the crowd...)

My other picks would be June 6th 1944 Normandy to watch that massive operation unfold and anytime in the pre-Roman classical world in Greece (ie around Archimedes etc) to see the birth of western civilisation.

Oh and the day before I signed up to join the Army at 16 (had my 17th birthday in boot camp) and convince my younger self to stay civilian and go get your finance degree ASAP!

I'm with Chris on the Beethoven.

With my modelling head on though; I really don't want to go back to raised panel lines and empty cockpits.

Would be nice to go back to the 60s for several reasons (ahem) but also would be good to see some Hunters and Lightnings around. I only really saw the Lightnings.

1. Go back and take great photos, then build dioramas of the scenes.

2. Continuously go back and always build models again, with some modifications and different camos.

For me it would be one of two events, both of huge magnitude.

Either, 13.7 billion years ago to witness the birth of the universe - or, 30/31 of August 1970, Isle of Wight to witness the great Jimi Hendrix make a guitar cry like an angel.

... and later claim that Melba Toast and Peach Melba was your idea...

For me there is 2 date, the first would be 10 July – 31 October 1940 to watch the epic battles in the skys above Britian. To see the epic trails of the dogfight above.

The second would be 12 July 1943, to witness the Battle of Prokhorovak. To see all that destruction of tanks would be well intersting.
