Academy 1/32 F-16I Sufa

Post by GaryEssex »

I'm building this for a friend. The kit goes together well, the only real problem for me was getting rid of the seam line along the spine. Hopefully I can start the decals tomorrow. The goal is to have this ready for Southern expo.

I've spent a few hours on this today. I've now got all the weapons painted and most of them decaled. The only part left to paint are the 600gal fuel tanks.

The decals have gone down well and my only critisism would be that once they touch the model they grip straight away, no matter how wet you make the surface . A little bit of micro set and sol have helped them on their way.

As you can see my friend chose the boring option in my opinion. This is the same markings that most people seem to do. I would of gone for the orange tail stripe personally with the tail number 107 the same as the big poster in the box.

That's some size of bird! I saw a 1/32 F4 Phantom built up in the model shop at the weekend, thing was a monster! Cracking paintjob though mate. Looking forward to seeing her finished.
