The new tool 1/32 Revell Spitfire MK II is on the top of my list, heard its pushed back to Summer now.

May try the 1/32 Zoukiei-Mura Ho-229 if its not too expensive, not tried them yet as a factory but I hear good things about them, heard they are doing a 1/32 Do-335 with a two seater to follow.

The forthcoming Tamiya 1/12 Ducati 1199 Panigale S will be sure to follow their expertise in this series too, a must for me.

1/700 USS West Virginia from Trumpeter

Was looking for one over the weekend and found a resin kit for $135. I really, really wanted it but for something not even a foot long (I don't speak metric ) I just couldn't justify that. Then I find out that Trumpeter is going to release one for like $35 in May!

Airfix 1:24 typhoon. Hoping it'll give the Tamiya super kits a run for their money. In any case I have a soft spot for typhoon's so even if it's doesn't it'll be fun

Couple of areas I think Airfix need to up their game IMHO in that it really needs to be in separate bags, decent clear parts and lots of colour reference photo's for me to look at

I mentioned earlier that I'm really hanging fire with buying kits until the a airfix 1:24 Typhoon is released (June this year hopefully).

I saw that earlier on today and my jaw when thud on the floor. So glad I pre-ordered one although looking at it it's in danger of being one of those 'Daren't touch it until I'm good enough' kits.

Is ISM planning on reviewing the 1:24 Typhoon?

Would love to see how it compares against the Tamiya kits of the same price. On the surface it looks like Airfix have aimed directly at the Tamiya super kits and it takes some confidence in their product to do that.

Looking at that build above I may just buy it

I went out and bought the June issue of Airfix model world with the Airfix 1:24 typhoon supplement(don't get the ipad version it doesn't come with it) I'm not sure if I'm looking forward or dreading making it. If you are getting the kit(or thinking of) it's probably worth getting as it contains a few useful gotcha's the builder came across(like leaving painting until a step or so beyond what airfix say) and some useful reference shots and kit colour scheme history.

Hope Paul and co have enough hard disk space on their PC's for the review. The instructions have 231 steps :O

Just glad I pre-ordered it when it was £70 but really hope it doesn't sit there like my 1:24 Mossie taunting me to be good enough to build it..

If the Airfix C-47 Skytrain was already available, I would have built this for the D-Day Build. The reason I choose this one, is, my wife's father was with the 101st Airborne Division and was involved in Operation Overlord at the Normandy D-Day landings, parachuting from a Skytrain. We have a cabinet full of all the "memorabilia" and "souvenirs" that he brought back home with him; a German Officer Luger complete with leather holster, 3 styles of SS officer daggers complete with leather belts and scabbards, lots of officer pendants, uniform buttons and other items. So, for my wife, at her request, she asked me to build a C-47 along with a figurine of a 101st Airborne infantryman to finish off the cabinet. So, Airfix need to hurry up and release it!

Oh, while I'm on this subject, can anyone recommend where (what company) I could buy a 101st "Screaming Eagle" figurine from? The larger the scale the better for me...I've never done figurines, so I need to make it easy on myself.

My second choice would be the Airfix 1/24 Hawker "orgasmic" Typhoon!......She's at the top of my wish list after seeing the images posted on "Britmodeler". I can practice on my Hasegawa 1/48 scale Hawker Typhoon when that arrives from Hobbylinc.com.

The skytrain is in the june AMW mag too. Looks a great kit

Want this so I can do the toilet bomb!
