Trumpeter 1/35 scale German SD.KFZ.6 5ton halftrack

Post by muskegman »

Just completed last night, built out of the box and used the photo-etch included in the kit. Finished with a mud wash using Daler Rowney oil paints and all hand painted with Humbrol and Modelmaster acrylics.

Thanks Fred29. Some bits were a bit fiddly especially the track segments, one issue with the tracks was they would not match up correctly with the teeth on the drive wheel, and a very tight fit. I had to really play with it to get the track wrapped all the way around but eventually got it on. The rest of the kit was a real joy to build and everything went smoothly. The photo-etch included in the kit was a nice addition and really enjoyable to work with.
