Hey.
The kits looked so awesome, AND I got such a good deal on it - I had to join in, hopefully the more the merrier, right?!

So, like everyone else, I think it took about 3 hours - but that was with wait time for all the tiny pieces to dry so that I didn't keep knocking them off attaching the other tiny little pieces :P

A very impressive looking machine thus far. Will hopefully make some more progress tonight!

Cheers!!

Sooooo, here's another update, gentlemen.

Got the fenders on... with great difficulty...
Image

Still not super awesome with PE, but every piece brings more experience.
Image

Now, unfortunately, I sorta got carried away with the rotary tool while shaving away the plastic for the PE... and took off too much... so, I improvised by cutting the PE 1/3 of the way up, and bending it to resemble a bad-a$$ battle scar... I think it looks pretty damned good... for a cover-up ;)
Image
Image

Next, came the dozer blade... man was this thing a pain in the A$% to put together, so many finicky little pieces with terrible instructions on where and how the little bits should go - yet, I get through it triumphantly... and a few deliberately broken and glued pieces later...

Gonna look super bad-a$$ when it's done!! I glued it in place exactly how you see it. the moving pieces are not very-well held together and kept coming apart. Haven't decided how much damage the dozer blade will have - definitely going to attempt the hairspray technique over a base layer of chrome-silver.

That's all for now!

Cheers.

Its coming along nicely. The PE looks good. Nothing wrong with happy accidents as the late Bob Ross would say. You recovered well and made some realistic damage to it. Thats how you do it when you have issues like that. Turn them into damage or cover em up with stowage LOL. I myself have yet to do any PE. But i think my next kit i do will have some. Being that i just got back into modelling after a long absence i didnt want to get carried away right away LOL.

Those PE mud guards are not the best bits that I've ever worked with either Mike. I hated them in fact. I almost tossed them in the bin. Looks like you did a pretty good job on that plough though, that thing had all sorts of lovely fit issues and seams to play with. Nice work.
