Simply the worst kit I've build an absolute pig to build

Great looking build Paul, yes agreed tried it once and gave up, just lost interest nothing would fit!

Cheers bill it really is a crap kit, it turned ok in the end I ended up selling it on eBay a few weeks back as it had always annoyed me since I built it

well i gotta say for a pig of a kit it looks fantastic Paul............ maybe it's because the spit is one of my favorites!!

Considering the problems you did a amazing job. The thing I hate with these companies is I never know if the mold is old or new. Some of the new Revells are really good. But they box them all the same (so does Airfix) so knowing what is new and cool and old and a pig is so damned hard. My friend says research. That's fine until your in a store and see something on a shelf you didn't know about, like a Spirfire Mk22 in 1/32 scale. Do you pick it up or go and research and then go all the way back if you do want it. I wish these companies would drop the crap its from their ranges. I don't think it helps them. If someone picks up two Airfix and they are their old pigs then they probably won't buy any more.

I agree, any Airfix or Revell kits I buy from a model shop I always open the box to see if it's raised or recessed panel lines. If it's raised, it goes straight back on the shelf 'cos you know it's a not so golden oldie...lol

Exactly the same as I do mate, nothing more embarrassing than having to put a kit box back on the shelf that looks like its mauled by a blind gorilla

You guys can do that in Europe ! Not here in Canada... Most of our kits are Sealed in shrink wrap or have a Large Sticker on all sides to prevents the box from being open !

I remember my buddy looking inside a Tamiya Kit back in the 90's in Germany !

I am not a fan of Unsealed boxes...

of course... not all kits are created equal ! especially if they are OLD repop from the 70's or 80's

Ours have a large sticker on the box sides too, I carry a little penknife on my car keys

Hi,I to have given up on this kit half way through, as you rightly say the fit is total tosh. Probably explain's the cheap price tag, fair do's though you made a fine job on your's but I just could not warrant spending all that time time on a bad kit when for a little extra dosh I could build something better and less stressful,nice one ,cheer's Dave.

It was just shear pig headedness that got me through this one, I wasn't going to let it beat me

Surely it hasn't been mauled by a gorilla until you've had your mitts on it?! Lol

I still have nightmares about this kit thankfully I sold it on ebay a while ago
