Hi Gents,

Although I'm struggling with my lost mojo for modelling I've also been working on the Eduard 1:48 Spitfire Mk IX. I have received it as a gift for Secret Santa's Gift Exchange 2013.

The model meets the standards of Eduard :) it fits perfectly and it needed only minimal amounts of putty (sorry, but I lost somewhere the pics from construction... :( ).

For paint scheme I decided to go for plane with side number EN315 that was flown by Squadron Leader Stanislaw Skalski in Polish Combat Team in Northern Africa, spring 1943.
To paint the desert camo I used
Lifecolor UA098 (FS35231) Azure Blue for bottom and Mr Hobby Aqueous Colour H71 (middle stone) & H72 (dark earth) for top camo.

So here are the results so far:

The kit was already covered with Vallejo Gloss polyurethane varnish and is waiting for application of decals & stencils.

Cheers,
Radek

Hi Radzy,

That looks beaut camo work mate! Polish Fighting Team is a great scheme.

I've got this kit in my stash, I've had a look and the detail is stunning.

Good luck with the Spit and recapturing the mojo.
