Global Scale Modeller

As the main focus of my modelling is railways I thought I might share a picture. I model railways across a couple of continents, Australia, America, UK and Germany. Problem with model trains is the UK as they model in OO/ 4mm scale/ 1/76th and the rest of the world adopted HO scale/3.5mm/1/86th . So when you place a UK loco next to a US model they look quite big. But I digress. I have been slowly building up a German WWII military train and I picked up some flat cars with loads the other day, quite cheap too at $20 each, loco cost $650 but that's neither here nor there.
It's difficult to get Roco minitanks which are in 1/86th and it's also hard to get some of the other brands like Trident or Artec which are generally resin models. Harder is finding the right flat cars, can't stick a 76ton Elephant on any old flat car so these were a good find.






Painting these should be fun as most of the pictures I have of say of the Opel Blitz truck are in black and white so it's difficult to discern whether it's light colour or a dark colour. Mind you most of them are in the depth of a Russian winter so I don't suppose it matters in B&W or colour.
Anyway I have a Jagd Tiger to finish.

Idon't know if you know them but artitec makes some really cool stuff in the h0 scale
But they are expensive , altough a direct purchase from the factory should save some money

Charles... I have a question about model trains buddy.
If you have a bit of time.
A friend of my wife has a bunch of train pieces that he was hoping to find more info on. His uncle had lived in Holland just after the war and he had a big love of trains. He had a layout that ran all throughout his house.
There's only a few pieces left, but they were looking to see what information can be found on the set.
