Italeri 1/72 Bf-110 G4

Post by chief5437 »

Hi guys, third and FINAL entry. I'm done with bloody night fighters, I get the feeling that they just don't like me! :pistols:

The kit itself is quite good, apart from raised lines, missing guns and landing light, that is.

The 110 canopy is a bugger to mask. I looked into getting a pre cut one from eduard, but the one they make for Italeri must be for the original release of this kit. This updated version has a different (correct) canopy.

Fit was good, only a couple of places that needed filler. Weighted wheels are provided, which is always nice. Also comes with a bit of PE.

I'm only annoyed as it's my mistakes that have ruined this kit, the scheme I wanted was a bit wierd, and Maskol was the only way I could think of doing it. From a distance it didn't look too bad, but in the cold light of day, it looks like it's been brush painted by a three year old with a yard brush! :eeek:

Anyway, here's the offending article, PLEASE.. Squint a bit when looking!! Lol! :cheers2:

thats a very nice build and paint job! i have an earlier version of this kit and can confirm it only comes with a day fighter canopy, nice to see this has been sorted out. although to build mine the first job is to get me a vac form replacement

Some times you can be a bit to harsh on yourself chief.

Looking at her she is a beauty! The camo is first class.
