Hi Guys, has anyone had chance to try the new thin acrylic clear coat from Humbrol yet. I have only seen their promotional video as yet, but it seems ok. Any comments from you chaps will be very welcome.

I use it and it works. I heard some people don't like it though, think it was fogging up when used with Tamiya paints or something, not sure. I haven't encountered any problems though and I use Tamiya for pretty much everything.
But, I think Pledge (or whatever it's called, lol) is the cheapest and the safest option for a clear coat.

Best option I think is alclad aqua gloss, it doesn't stink like their cellulose based paints and the finish it leaves behind is superb. Had trouble with jonsons clear myself and heard,lots of horror stories of the humbrol clear

Oh yes, that's an excellent gloss varnish!

One good thing with humbrol clear though, is that it's Very durable. I think it would be excellent for figures if someone is into figure games.

ive tried this and found it dos'nt like the airbrush to much, brushing it on seems to pool very easily, so back to pledge i went.

Do alclad have a aqua matt, clear cote or what else is the best equivalent (Matt)?

They don't have an aqua matt no, but the do have the cellulose matt and flat which is really good stuff, smells though

Thanks guys for all the comments, I'll give the Alclad aqua a try, I presume it can be found on the usual modelling websites, ie EModels or SnM stuff etc.
