Varnish nightmare

I have just come away from a decaling session none to pleased
. Having decided to try out Humbrol,s new acrylic varnish I gave my model two coat,s last night and fair enough it dried quickly and levelled out very well straight from the bottle.I began decaling tonight and using my usual choice of Micro sol and set placed the first decal on the kit.Ten minute,s later on returning to check the decal it was surrounded by a cloudy white residue which will not disapear. I have never had this problem with other acrylic varnish,s, can anybody shed any thought,s as to why this may have happened?. Humbrol market this as an equivalent to Future but I am not so sure.

I can't comment on a solution, but this is the reason I stick to proven products, johnsons clear and alclad klear work perfectly for me

You applied water to an Acrylic product too early
It must Completly dry and Cure. Usually a few days to be certain this White Fog doesn't appear!
Sorry! It might be ruin! Wait a few days to see if it will resolve itself!
Remember! Dry to the touch doesn't necerally means it has Cured!

Sorry to hear TS....
Humbrol Klear and Micro Sol/Set do not mix! I had exactly the same problem myself recently, luckily it was just on a little 1/72 I was doing for my son. I'm steering clear of the Humbrol Klear as there seems to be a few compatibility problems with it...!!!

This was a coat of Johnsons and then decals placed on, it happened all over the model though.
I'll only use proper products from now on. but worried about the possible reaction of Humbrol Klear and microset/sol as that's what I was planning on using this weekend......

Hi, yes it,s the same as this but not as widespread, I have managed to tone it down a little with a dark wash. I gave the model a coat of matt varnish tonight and may be able to lose the effect a bit more with some weathering, but I will not use this varnish again before decaling maybe just to coat clear part,s and as a final varnish coat, cheer,s.
