"The age of blood and iron" 54mm diorama

Hi fellows :hi:
This diorama shows a scene of the 4th century A.D. , not the golden or silver age of Rome but the age of blood, iron and rust!
The mounted warrior is a Clibanarius, an armoured knight so to say fighting in the Sassanid style. The foot soldier is an infantry officer.
As you may notice these late Roman warriors do not fight in the classic Roman style anymore, instead they evolved into a kind of "medievalish warrior". This era is of big interest for me and i´m glad that the Italian manufacturer "Soldiers" has plenty of suiting figures in its program.

Really nice work. If I ever get some 54mm figures to.paint, I'll blame your work for inspiring me.

Another really nice figure paint job.

I've done some 54mm stuff in my time though always come back to 1/35 and 28mm war-game miniatures and figure.

Those figures are fantastic, as per your usual.
I'm really impressed with your groundwork.
The grass that you use do you get it in a mat or do you make it yourself?

Thank you!

The grass is a mixture of some tufts from "Fredericus Rex" and "Heki".
