Model Base

Good morning chaps.

Not sure if this is in the right section (Sorry in advance Paul or Lee).
I am trying to search on-line for bases for 1/48 scale models.
Just a simple rectangle with a bvelled base.
Yup, I hear you shout "make it yourself", well I could but my woodworking skills are crap.
Does anybody know of a supplier?

Their is a company called just bases that do all sorts for modelling base wise.

Don't know if this is any help..

If I am going to put down a surface to go with model, ie mud, dirt, snow etc. I go and buy a nice but very cheap wooden photo frame the size I want and replace the glass with a wooden plug and build up the base from there. Some frames have a nice beveled edge ready to go.

This is why Modellers are true artist, cuz they think outside of the box or frame in this case.
