Using household stuff.

Post by CJSomerset »

I've just finished a BF109 by using some stuff that I had lying around.

I managed to make a great looking wet oil patch on top of the engine block by painting it with soy sauce. ( didn't come out so well in the pics). It worked well on the white decals as well, giving them an older yellower look.

I also found all the elasticated antenna rigging that I'll ever need, hiding inside an old bundgy strap.

Anyone else got any tips for using things that we might already have?

I would never waste Soy sauce like that :jd: Far to tasty.

Ok, first up a weird one. The fluff you get from your clothes drier can be used to make grass on your dioramas. Just spray it what ever shade you want.

Soy sauce won't work for me, every time I looked at the model I'd fancy a stir-fry.
