Stunning paint job and weathering, the only thing is you should work the seatbelts a bit more into the seat other than that it's looking top class

Wow! Stunning job, Jake....there's some bloody good modeling going on just lately....makes me feel like I have so far to go to get to a level like this.

I do agree with Eoin, above, that the seat belts look rigid and floating in mid air, so working them to look like they are naturally laying down into the seat will finish her off.

Will be following this build closely! :thumb1: :thumb1:

Cheers, :cheers2:

Sorry guys its been a few days busy lately but I managed to get the main fuselage together

The fit is superb but there was a couple little "steps" at the top near the headrest and down below nothing a quick sand cant handle :th:

I think it'll need filler on the bottom^^^^

This looks great!

What paint combos did you use to get this effect? I see lots of Tamiya tins so Im assuming their range?

Ive just built a 1/48 Academy F4U4 and have a Tamiya 1/48 F4U-1 in the stash Im dying to try out - my paintjob on the Academy kit didnt go as I planned...

Cheers,
Chris

Cockpit looks great. I think you should sand the seat belts smooth and perhaps dry brush over the remaining color.

Great stuff, Jake.

I'm very jealous of the apparent ease with which you tackled that camo.

Beautiful model.
