Tnx mate, I love the detail and beauty of the panther. Got it after watching your build. But the after market pe is making me cry. :boom:

:thumb1: I'll survive. Updates when I get somewhere with this build....

http://www.am-works.com/store/movable-h ... p-120.html found this that helped!

[quote="HollywoodModelling"]Really looking forward to this one... nice kit it seems. I like the paint scheme for the Balaton version.

Thank you. I'm going for the Bavaria I think. I like the olive green and dark yellow combo. And that balaton kind of camo would probably kill me after this pe work. It's very slow going here but I do enjoy it.

I find that a diamond file comes very in handy. I get most of the pe flash off.

You are going to like that kit
It is one of the best if not the best panther kits from dragon
It builds up very nice
Good luck with the pe upgrades

Thanks, I find the instructions to be confusing, to say the least. Sometimes just stupid. The dragon staff should contact teachers to help em out. :) maby me? :shifty: or maby its just my lack of experience.:

no dragon instructions are always complex and it takes a few kit before you get really used to them
I build them for a few years now so i'm used to it
but it is a point of inprovement for them and the way that they print it

Little intro to my panther g late production

Panther auf G was the last upgrade of the panzer V series. There were D, A, G produced in that order. The production of the panther was produced on 5 different factorys. The pictures are from MASCHINENFABRIK NIEDERSACHSEN-HANNOVER or Mnh factroy.

The 2 different gunmantles.

In September of 1944 it was reported that the zimmerit coating caught fire on impact, and the coating of zimmerit stopped at the factories. So all the manufactured panther g late should be without zimmerit. CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG.

Alrighty then little update. It has been happy times and there have been angry times of death.

My new best friends. Gator glue that is based on water! So slab it on and just wipe it of with water!!! Great, I find for the little fiddly things. And diamond file for getting rid of pe flash. Ca tamiya : for the rest.

Sad times. I destroyed one of the bins and instead of buying a 6 quid new one I put on the in box one on... :pistols:  btw what's the color of the 2 convoy lights?

Looking really great Gustav. The cylindrical light I think is a blue or a green colour. I have seen a great reference but cannot remember where. I tend to paint them silver (if coloured plastic) then coat with a tamiya clear blue or green. If required dull down with smoke.

I've been looking around and there is so many different "truths" that I just gonna go for it and focus on technique. Thanks for your words and for your technique help!
