So here is my entry.

This is an old kit but I am planning on brining it up to date with some detail parts.

This has some great detail.

Also will be adding Eduard PE upgrade set.


And a metal barrel. Not sure of the manufacturer but the finish is really nice.


The decals also have some Eduard German number masks this means I can do any vehicle number.




I will cover what I am planning for this one in the next update.

I actually have this kit, too, but I've read that there aren't enough road wheels on either side...Armor Research Co. makes a set of white metal roadwheels to add the extra layer, enabling AM track sets to be used.

Hope that didn't make me sound like a rivet counter; just trying to help.
Looking forward to the finished build.

Update number one.

Started with the upper hull.

Lots of bits to add. Also made a mistake an misread the intructions for the vision slots the PE parts fit inside.
I will need to replace these with some plasticard.

Also made a start on the rear plate.


Cleaned up on set of tracks these clip together and are workable. Four attachment points on each! (the pins to clip them together are a little fragile so care is needed when construction them)

Amazing how different that kit looks even just with the PE zim. As I've said that was my first armor kit.

As to the wheels, it is true that kit has simplified wheels with a very thin single wheel where it should be double.

I bought some of those Bronco tracks for my Jagdpanther so I can't wait to see how they look on the tank. Any info on the barrel construction or further info on the track assembly would be very useful.

I gotta say Ben, you're a brave man trying to build those tracks. I tried twice and tossed both sets in the bin. I nearly went batty with the clean up and dealing with those pins.

Progressing on this slowly but surely.

been doing a small amount at a time the PE really is alot of work so little and often for me.






Drilled out the exhausts to add some more detail.

No just the lighting I think. Also a fair bit of superglue residue on the parts.

That's a brutal load of work Ben!!!
It looks excellent. All that hard work is really going to pay off.
The zimmerit PE on the glacis plate MG must have been a complete paint to do.
I think that I would have just looked at that and wimped out, then did it by hand.
You're a brave dude.
You'res and Marks will be the heavy weights of this SIG I think. Haha.
It would be cool to see a weigh off at the end.

Looks sweet Ben. The zim really adds to the model. I tend to find that with PE on armour I don't use all of it. Some times I just cut my loses and keep a kit part in order to keep my sanity! Or because I can't make the PE bit so I would rather have a straight kit part than a bent and glue marked PE bit.

Yeah Im trying to use as much as I can as good practice as still only used small amounts of PE in the past.
