Hello everyone, new to the forum and back at it after many years. I need to know anyone's opinion on what is the best Mosquito kit in 1/48th scale. Also what extras if any to get? Your input would be very much appreciated. Have a good one, and thanks again.

Cheers, Brad...

Hi Brad
Welcome. I believe the answer will be the Tamiya kits. I have never built one myself but do have them in 1/72 and they are lovely looking kits. Not sure about AM stuff either but again I believe there is a lot out there.

Hello Brad, Most definitely the Tamiya kits!! I recently built a Tamiya De Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI, the engineering is superb, detail for an out of box kit is awesome and the fits are great...everything went together superbly. After building that kit, I don't want to buy anything else but Tamiya now! You might be paying extra, but it is well worth the money considering the value that you get from the box.

Here's a video link to my recent "Mossie" build...take a look, it will probably have you ordering that "Mossie" today?! :)

I hate when SWMBO get wind too...
I've got a Tamiya Mozzie as well, with a Eduard Mask set and cockpit PE...
I can't bring myself to build her.... I just like to look at her....
A bit weird I know, they are lovely kits. The Beaufighter's just the same....

Hi Martin, checked out your video. Must say that's a fine job well done mate. Checked my local shop on-line and they have a few Tamiya Mossie kits, and yours is priced at $31.00 CAD, inexpensive really. Looking forward to starting now, be my first endeavor back in the model universe after 30+ years. Thanks again bud.

Cheers, Brad...
