Revell 1/25th Peterbilt 359 semi- truck

Not sure this should be in this section as these are reveal photo's, but the land gallery is full of armour build's so I will stick it here.
This is the Revell "snap fit" kit released in the 80's but re-released a few year's ago. As the title suggest;s it is a snap together kit requiring no or little glue and only painting to complete.
No, no, no, let,s do this properly, all the awful kit chrome was stripped and re-sprayed with Humbrol 191 chrome silver over a gloss black base. The fuel tank's were srayed Tamiya TS-17 Gloss Aluminium And the frame and axle's Tamiya X18 Semi gloss black. The body , bonnet and sleeper cab were given 5 coat;s of Tamiya TS-50 Mica Blue, rubbed down between coat's with 2500 grit wet and dry [used wet] Construction was straight forward although some of the hole's were a bit tight and needed opening out a little. So here are the photo's






That's it , nice kit , fairly quick build apart from the body and look's very at home on a shelf in my son's bedroom. Till next time enjoy your modelling, cheer's Dave.

Right, need to find the OOPS smilie . The above photos are not the final reveal shot's. These were taken during the decaling stage's,[if you look closely the cab interior is missing}. Anyway the next photos are of the finished kit with the Bare Metal Foil added to the bonnet strip, the air cleaner strap's and also the cab and sleeper handle's. Hope you like

Excellent build! You're done an excellent job with this. I'm also building the same kit but have a long, long way to go yet.
