Tamia 1/72 de Havilland Mosquito NF Mk.X111/XV11

Post by hamish »

Started with this site/forum asking for suggestions to build a British WW2 prop type aircraft. See other posts.
Decided on the one above. Haven't done any builds for years and once coming upon Paul's Aircraft Modeling Tequnigues on YouTube and visiting this site decided to have a go at something.
Up to now have only opened the box and looked at the quality, which to me looks really good.
Have been airbrushing Humbrol Enamel paints, refurbishing die cast vehicles up to now but decided to give acrylics a go therefore have not built up a stock of them so need to be a bit frugal with the purchases, i.e. probably won't buy paints which only have small parts to paint if I have something near in enamels. Also, some major area's calling for Tamia spray paint, can't justify the cost but also prefer to use airbrush so looking for something close in XF, again this question posted elsewhere.
Found out how to post photo's so am looking forward to sharing the progress but don't hold your breath, I'm not that fast, also be away for 4 weeks shortly so no progress yet.

Be back soon.
