Das Clay?

Post by JohnP »

I bought myself a package of this

There are no instructions on how to use it in English.

Has anyone used it before? - How long does it usually take to dry?

I think to properly dry it needs to be left over night. But that might not be enough depending on how much water you add to it. Depends on where you dry it out as well. Trial and error mate.

Be prepared for the clay to turn all it touches brown, hands, work area etc other than that drying times depend on on how thick the clay is, anything small I placed on a glass sheet then put it on top of the radiator, you might also be able to place it in a low heat oven to speed drying time although never tried it.

If at first you don't succeed say it crashed & turn it into a diorama!

I will be applying it relatively thin on platforms for dioramas. I don't think the clay will be much trouble :th:
