Starting my D9R build today
I ordered some Eduard photo etch for the interior and exterior.
Now I need to buy an airbrush, some paint and a booth.
I can at least glue some of the subassemblies together.

We want pictures mate
And half the subassembies don't need glue
Well some

the cab will be a friction fit to the chassis
As is the blade and the wheel assembly
I am curious about the pe though
i build mine out of the box and it is a great kit with loads of detail
Have fun with the build
Cheers Mark

Don't know if our aware of the magazine Military Illistrated Modeller. There was an addition , a couple of months ago, where there was a step by step build of the Dozer, including weathering, even down to technics used to made the blade look worn. It's a cracking mag to refer to.
It's also a digital download, which I use. As I said ,it's a great reference

I cleaned the sprues.

I'm going to wait until the PE gets here before I start building it.

I don't see it. Is it the one where you keep magazines that you subscribe to?
I found the first article for the dozer as a PDF which I downloaded.

Oh, and I did find the App called "Newstand", I forgot what folder on my phone I put it in. I'm just going to buy the issues that deal with the dozer at my local hobby store.

Good luck with it .... be careful of those EPM that mare the interior walls...
they really need some attention.... or some will spoil the beauty of the interior !
Take care !

Getting nothing but errors trying to buy the issues through the app store.
Bought the three issues online instead.
If anybody is wondering, issues 30, 32 and 34 pertain to the Meng D9R build.

Restarting the build from step one. I had an issue where I messed up one of the parts and to fix it would've caused even more of a headache.
I just got my second D9R today, the sprues have been washed, they are now drying.

Making good progress. I was able to remove the details for the USMC version without destroying everything. I used Tamiya tape to cover the details and slowly sanded the part. It took maybe an hour to do. i really wanted to take my time and not mess up again.
Will post pictures when I get home. I also bent my first piece of photoetch, didn't come out correct the fist time so I had to straighten and rebend it.
